Biography
Jo Harrison grew up in Eugene, Oregon, then traveled across the country to attend Williams College, graduating in 1979 with a double major in Art History/Studio Art. After a career in the software industry, Jo returned to Williamstown to open the Harrison Gallery, 2001-2015.
Harrison officially launched her career as an oil painter in Provincetown, America’s oldest continuous art colony. Equally notable is the mentorship provided by artist friends Stanley Bielen, Pete Hocking, and John MacDonald. Jo’s experience includes museum-juried Members shows as well as successful one-woman shows here in New England.
